INTRODUCTION

Ménière’s disease (MD) is an idiopathic inner ear disorder characterized by episodic vertigo spells lasting from 20min to 12 h, fluctuating low-frequency hearing loss during the initial spells with associated aural fullness, and tinnitus (1). Current therapies aim to control vestibular symptoms with conservative means, namely, low-sodium diet, diuretics, and vestibular suppressants.
